Reworking an old painting

Having now Finished Uni, I decided it would be fun to paint over an old piece of work to see how I have improved. This first painting was done around October last year. This should show around ten months of progress. I am really happy with the rate at which I am learning, and enjoyed this short project! I may even revisit designs from years ago to see how I can develop a concept further now.

One of the challenges was trying to maintain the intense colours while also getting a strong sense of depth in the image. I think the scale is much more accurate now.
